What our staff say

Dr. James Fruin - Veterinarian

I joined Mudgee Vet Hospital  as a new graduate from CSU. Part of the draw for me was the busy clinic with a big group of experienced vets. This has allowed me to have a high case load and progress my skills and pattern recognition much faster than I anticipated, whilst having the support around me to fall back on with the difficult cases and create better learning opportunities for myself. There is also a great mix of surgery, medicine and large animal cases. With less than one night a week on call there is plenty of time to do activities outside of work.

Katelyn Barwick - Customer Service

Working at Mudgee Vet Hosital has given me the opportunties to learn and grow as a person and gain plenty of confidence both personally and professionally. Mudgee Vet Hospital offers an environment where you can not only work as a close-knit team, but also build great professional relationships as well as great friendships. It has been an amazing experience over the past 3.5 years to work with and learn from such a talented and hard working groupdof people and I feel I gained a lot of knowledge during my time at Mudgee Vet Hospital.

Kasey Benjamin - Veterinary Nurse

I joined the team at Mudgee Vet Hospital in February 2023 after my previous clinic closed down. It was slightly daunting moving to larger unfamiliar clinic, but every person I met made me feel incredibly welcome and comfortable. I am glad to say I am now a member of a close-knit, dedicated, hard working, empathetic team of vets, nurses and receptions that always have the animals best interest in mind. One of the benefits of being part of such a large team is that I am able to work with a variety of skilled vets and nurses in a number of different areas which has definetly allowed me to expand my knowledge and better myself as a nurse. There is also the advantage of flexible hours, so I am able to work a three day week and still have time outside of work to spend with my friends and my own animals. Working at Mudgee Vet Hospital as so far been a great experience and I would encourage anyone looking for work in the veterinary industry to apply.
