Vaccinations for Horses


  1.  Initial Vaccination:         Two (2) vaccinations 4 weeks apart from 3 months of age.
  2.  First Booster:                A third vaccination one (1) year later.
  3.  Boosters:                      Every 5 Years. If you are unsure when last vaccination was -you can go earlier

You can start vaccinations from 3 months of age.

Cattle Vaccinations

5 in 1 & 7 in 1 Vaccinations

  1. Initial Vaccination         Two (2) doses 4 to 6 weeks apart
  2. Boosters                       Yearly boosters ideally for cows in last month of pregnancy

In very good pasture pulpy kidney vaccinations may need to giver every 3 month


Pestivirus Vaccine 

  1. Initial Vaccination          Two (2) doses 4 to 5 weeks apart, second dose 6 – 8 weeks before mating.
  2. Boosters                       Yearly boosters, 6 – 8 weeks before mating

Hore Eye Ulcer

Here are some pictures of a Hores with a nasty eye ulcer. Caused initially by trauma inbecame infected with bacteria. Later the ulcer became infected with a fungal disease.

There is flushing catheter in place to allow frequent flushing treatment of treatment solutions to the eye
